Virginia police are ramping up DUI enforcement these holidays.  According to REPORTS, there has been a 77% increase in alcohol related driving fatalities in the Commonwealth since last year.  As a result, more attention is being given to the C.A.R.E. program, which began on December 22, 2023.  

The point is this:  if you're arrested for DUI, don't just assume you'll get a "standard" resolution to your case.
