Revenge of the DC DMV

Posted by Sheridan England | Nov 10, 2023 | 0 Comments

In the last few weeks, we've gotten reports that the DC DMV is sending letters to DUI defendants that their licenses have been suspended, that they have to (or might have to) get an breathalyzer in their cars, and other things.  These letters, we're told, are being sent to people who don't live in DC nor have DC Drivers Licenses.

Did you get one?  We'd love to see it.  Curiously, these letters are being sent to people months after their cases are over and even in cases where people haven't been convicted of DUIs.  Some people wonder whether in fact they're official DC DMV letters based on the letter head.

If you are wondering what to do if you've gotten a letter claiming your license has been suspended, give us a call.
