Prince William County police officers arrested a woman after she left three children alone in an “unsafe” apartment and assaulted multiple officers on Tuesday night. 

They first responded to the Somerset Pointe Apartments in Gainesville for a domestic dispute, but there, 32-year-old Lindsay Jo Halsey, left the apartment, leaving three children under 10 years old unsupervised.

According to this REPORT, officers found the apartment's living conditions to be unsafe and “potentially hazardous” to the children. As she was being taken into custody, she allegedly kicked multiple officers several times, bit another officer and tried to grab one of the officer's holstered weapons.

She was charged with three counts of felony child neglect, eight counts of assault and battery on LEO, attempted disarming of a law enforcement officer and obstruction of justice. She was held without bond.
