In bodycam footage obtained by WGN News, officers approached the disabled vehicle with Jordan and another woman inside just before 1:18 a.m. After some back-and-forth, officers ordered him and the female passenger, whom he later called his girlfriend, to exit the vehicle.
According to this REPORT, he was heard telling police “bro, I'm Marcus Jordan; I'm Michael Jordan's son,” as an officer approaches to pat him down. “I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm just trying to get home, and I made a wrong turn.”
About five minutes later, bodycam footage shows Maitfield officers placing Jordan in the back of their patrol car. On the way to the station, Jordan repeatedly denied being under the influence and even sang some tunes.
Maitland Police Department officers allege Jordan had slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, and smelled of alcohol. Officers allegedly located a bag with a white, powdery substance, which police suspect contained cocaine, on Jordan as well.
